To develop and provide services which deliver spectacular returns on investment for manufacturers by minimising risk and increasing effectiveness throughout the new product development process. 

  • SMART Grants and other financial support: Assisted in writing grant applications for funding resulting in awards in excess of £350K for clients to support Proof of Market, Proof of Concept, Development of Prototype and Plant Development projects. This required an ability to gain an in-depth understanding in a very short space of time of new technologies in markets for which I had no previous experience. 
  • Best practice: Wrote a booklet of 60 tips to maximise the effectiveness of new product development activities. This was very well received in development centres end engineering departments of major manufacturers across the UK.
  • Risk assessment: Developed a risk assessment tool which has the capability of reducing the cost and duration of iterations in the development process. This overcomes many of the limitations encountered in a traditional Design FMEA.
